Check the recovery tank, drain closure, squeegee and vacuum path using the matched manual. A wet trail alone does not prove a failed vacuum motor. If the floor receives little solution, use the separate flow checks below.

What is the Tennant T600?
The Tennant T600 is a commercial walk-behind scrubber for indoor hard-floor cleaning. Tennant’s US product page lists disk, cylindrical and orbital cleaning-head options, with 28-inch, 32-inch and 36-inch cleaning paths. The same page lists a 32-gallon solution tank and a 37-gallon recovery tank.
Configuration note: T600 and T600e are related but distinct control-panel and configuration records. Record the model designation, scrub head, battery type, options and serial number before using a manual or interpreting a service code.
Which manual covers the T600?
The manufacturer-hosted English operator manual is document 4024351, Rev. 07 (05-2026). The PDF is 79 pages and identifies the coverage as North America / International. Its contents place T600 service-indicator tables on printed pages 41–44, following the T600e table on page 40. General troubleshooting starts on page 62; poor pickup and low solution flow are on page 63.

Documented T600 service-indicator codes
The manual states that a machine or onboard charger fault causes the service indicator to flash and provides a fault code. The examples below are summarized from the T600 service-code table; they are not a complete code list.
| Code | Documented condition | Published response |
|---|---|---|
| 0xFFF0 | Emergency shut-off activated or optional electronic parking-brake system disengaged. | Record whether the emergency shut-off was used and why. Keep the machine stopped until the hazard is resolved; only then follow the matched manual’s restart procedure. An unexplained indication or disengaged parking brake requires qualified service. |
| 0x0201 | Head-lift actuator, wiring, connector or control-board problem. | Contact qualified service personnel. |
| 0x1006 | Scrub-head imbalance. | Record the scrub-head configuration and imbalance indication. The manual lists a key cycle and brush replacement, but brush work requires the prescribed shutdown/isolation procedure and trained personnel. Obtain service if the fault persists. |
Do not bypass an interlock, open the battery system or perform energized electrical testing. See the error-code and alarm index for other model references with source and applicability notes.
Tennant T600 not picking up water: where to check
Secure the wet area, stop the machine and follow the manual’s isolation procedure before touching components. The following groups organize the causes listed on printed page 63 of manual 4024351; they are not ranked by failure frequency.
| Check group | Documented items | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Tank and closure | Full tank or foam; drain cap or valve; lid obstruction or seal. | Complete permitted tank care and closure checks before assuming a motor failure. |
| Recovery path | Drip trap, squeegee assembly, vacuum hose and float screen. | Follow the manual’s cleaning instructions; damaged parts need the appropriate repair. |
| Floor contact | Worn blades or casters; incorrect blade pitch. | Use the specified adjustment or replacement procedure, not a generic pressure setting. |
Record which group was checked and whether the same wet trail remains. If pickup stays unsafe or a fault returns, stop and send the findings to qualified service. For a narrow line rather than a broad wet path, use the squeegee streak guide.
T600 has little or no solution flow
The same table lists an empty solution tank, a low flow setting, a blocked solution filter or a plugged supply line. Follow the matched instructions; do not substitute recovery-hose checks for a solution-delivery problem.
A floor that dries but still looks dirty needs a separate review of the cleaning task. Use the pad and brush compatibility checklist and record the surface, soil and fitted accessory before changing equipment.
Frequently asked questions
What is the T600 cleaning width?
Tennant’s US product page lists 28-inch, 32-inch and 36-inch cleaning-path options. The exact width depends on the installed scrub head.
What does a flashing T600 service indicator mean?
It means the machine or onboard battery charger detected a fault. The manual directs the operator to read the associated fault indication and use the service-code table.
Does this page cover every T600 variant?
No. T600/T600e control panels, scrub heads, battery packages and options differ. Confirm the data plate, serial number and configuration before selecting a procedure or part.

Who prepares this reference?
Prepared by CleanEquip Pro Editorial. We organize manufacturer documentation into model-specific references and distinguish documented information from unverified observations.
This article does not represent an on-machine inspection or a certified technician’s review. Follow the applicable manufacturer manual and refer electrical, battery and other service work to qualified personnel.

Scope and exclusions: The displayed hexadecimal examples use the T600 table. Do not apply them to the separate T600e panel table. Match deck, panel, battery, options and serial number.
Field evidence: No first-hand inspection, technician review or measured cause-frequency dataset is documented for this article. The reporting checklist is editorial guidance, not field evidence. A reader report remains unverified until checked.
Operator and service boundary
Operator observations: Record the complete code and panel type, then note tank, hose and squeegee condition with the machine safely stopped. Observe only with the machine stopped and secured as its manual requires. Key-off alone does not electrically isolate a battery machine. Before touching or cleaning components, follow the manual’s isolation procedure; if untrained, stop at recording observations.
Stop and call a qualified technician if: A code returns, the brake or drive behaves abnormally, there is damaged wiring, or pickup remains poor after permitted routine care.
Never: bypass interlocks, remove protective guards for testing, probe live wiring or repeat resets to keep an unresolved fault running. Follow the applicable battery/charger ventilation instructions; this page does not authorize battery work.
Change log
— Rechecked the pickup and flow table on page 63. Added symptom navigation, a grouped decision table and related maintenance links. No field test is claimed.
— CleanEquip Pro Editorial: Clarified the safety boundary for 0xFFF0 and 0x1006. A displayed code does not establish that restarting is safe, and brush replacement is maintenance rather than an external observation. Source: 4024351, Rev. 07 (05-2026), printed pp. 41–42 and safety pp. 5–7. No on-machine test is claimed.
— CleanEquip Pro Editorial: Corrected the T600 code-table start to p. 41 and located water-pickup/solution-flow evidence on p. 63. This entry records a document-based editorial update, not an on-machine inspection or certified technician sign-off. Printed page numbers are the document labels; PDF positions may differ. Earlier page-footer dates do not replace the cover revision.

Keep a record or report the outcome
Compare T300, T500 and T600 document scope and selected specifications before choosing a related model reference.
Use the one-page Tennant T600 observation sheet to record the exact machine, existing indication, symptom and earlier actions before contacting qualified service. It is an original reporting aid, not a repair checklist or manufacturer procedure.

Did this reference help resolve your issue?
Choose an outcome to open the equipment-help form with this article and model filled in. Nothing is submitted until you complete and send the form. Describe what changed, who performed any repair and how the result was checked. A reported outcome is not an independently verified diagnosis or a failure-rate statistic.
