Model-specific diagnostics

Floor scrubber and sweeper error codes

Find commercial cleaning machine fault codes, alarm beeps and warning-light meanings by manufacturer and model, with source notes and operator-safe first checks.

Search by diagnostic format

Record the complete signal before resetting the machine. Code format, LED pattern and operating state all matter.

Numeric CodesBeep CodesFault LEDsInterlocksMotor CurrentBattery Alerts
Step 1

Identify the exact model

Confirm the model and serial plate. Similar model names may use different control boards and code systems.

Step 2

Capture the full signal

Note the displayed code, beep count, flashing LEDs and what the machine was doing when the fault appeared.

Step 3

Check the source revision

Match the explanation to the correct operator or service document and production revision.

Error-code example

Tennant T7 repeating beep codes

The original T7 uses repeating alarm beeps for several propel interlocks. The model record separates the normal reverse alarm from actual fault conditions.

2 beepsSeat-switch interlock
4 beepsHigh-pedal disable
8 beepsEmergency-stop circuit

Diagnostic information is a reference only. Always follow the current manufacturer manual and site safety procedure.

Is it a fault code, beep sequence or warning light?

Record exactly what the machine displays, including letters, numbers, LED patterns and the number of beeps. A code from one model is not a diagnosis for another. Start with the published Tennant T7 guide, and use the equipment help form when your exact model is not covered.

How do I record a floor scrubber fault code or alarm beep?

Record the exact machine model, control panel and complete signal before looking up its meaning. A short description such as “it beeps” leaves out information needed to match the correct reference. This checklist helps you prepare an equipment question; it does not diagnose a fault.

What should I write down?

Signal observedDetails to preserve
Display messageCopy all letters, numbers, leading zeros and accompanying words. Check whether a character is 0 or O, or 1 or I. Photograph the visible display only when the machine is safely stationary.
Warning lightRecord the icon or label, its color, whether it is steady or flashing, and other indicators shown at the same time. Do not assign a meaning from color alone.
Repeating beep patternCount beeps in one complete repeating group, note the pause between groups and copy any simultaneous display message. State whether the sound occurs once or repeats.
Symptom without a codeDescribe what changed: water left behind, no solution flow, dust escaping or debris remaining. Separate what you observed from your suspected cause.

Why does the control-panel version matter?

The Tennant T300 North American operator manual lists membrane, Pro-Membrane and Pro-Panel controls separately. It also separates machine, on-board charger and optional ec-H2O service indicators. Record which panel or system produced the indication rather than treating every warning as the same type of code.

Where should I look up the recorded signal?

Use the manual-selection checklist to match your documentation. If there is no code, use the symptom observation guide. Submit the completed record through Equipment Help for a reference question or correction.

Safety: Observe only an existing indication from a safely stationary machine. Do not deliberately recreate a hazardous condition, bypass an interlock or remove protected covers. Follow the manufacturer’s shutdown precautions and refer repair work or electrical faults to qualified service personnel.

SELECTED MANUFACTURER REFERENCES

Look up a recorded code or beep pattern

Choose the exact machine, then the code or repeating beep pattern already observed. This small reference covers 21 selected entries across original T7, T500, T600 and T12/T12XP; it is not a complete diagnostic database. Do not substitute a nearby code or another model.

Before using this tool: record only information already available from a safely stopped machine. A code identifies a reported condition, not a confirmed failed part. Do not bypass safety devices, test energized components or repeatedly reset an unresolved fault.

Open a model below to read its selected references. With JavaScript enabled, you can also choose a model and code above.

Tennant T7 — original model — selected entries

Original T7 only; T7+ is excluded. Match the control panel and serial applicability. Count one complete repeating group already observed; do not move the machine or recreate a fault just to count beeps.

  • 1 beep — only in Reverse — Historical service information identifies a repeating one-beep reverse warning, not a fault in that operating state. Do not apply this entry to a one-beep sound in Forward or a different alarm system. Direction and the repeating pattern must already be known. Historical 331045, Rev. 00 (12-2004), printed p. 25 / PDF p. 29; third-party-hosted manufacturer document
  • 2 beeps — Propel pedal was pressed without the operator in the seat. Record the seated state already observed. Do not bypass or test the seat interlock.
  • 4 beeps — The key was switched on while the propel pedal was engaged. Record the startup sequence already observed. Do not reproduce an unsafe startup to confirm the code.
  • 5 beeps — Throttle-system fault. Stop use and contact qualified service; the operator manual directs this fault to a Tennant service representative.
  • 6 beeps — Brake-system fault. Keep the machine stopped and secure it as the manual requires. Contact qualified service; do not continue with abnormal braking.
  • 7 beeps — Parking-brake-system fault. Contact qualified service. Do not bypass the parking brake or perform electrical tests.
  • 8 beeps — Emergency-stop button is engaged. Record why it was used. Do not release a safety stop until the hazard is understood and resolved; unexplained or recurring indications require service.
  • 9 beeps — The key is on while the charger is plugged into the machine. Record the charger connection already observed. Follow the matched charger shutdown/disconnection procedure; never disconnect a charging DC connector under load.

Tennant T500 — selected entries

T500 Pro-Panel LCD codes. T500e and charger/ec-H2O tables are separate. Confirm fitted options and the matched manual.

  • 0xFFF0 — Emergency stop is activated. Record why the emergency stop was used. A code match does not establish that restarting is safe.
  • 0x0201 — Head-lift actuator circuit problem. Record head position already observed and the complete code. Refer internal diagnosis to qualified service.
  • 0x0501 — Vacuum motor circuit problem. Record the existing pickup symptom and exact code. The code does not identify one failed component.
  • 0x0901 — Propel motor circuit problem. Record when movement stopped and the full display. Do not reproduce the fault to gather more information.

Tennant T600 — selected entries

T600 service table only; do not transfer these entries to the T600e panel. Configuration and serial applicability must be matched.

  • 0xFFF0 — Emergency stop activated or optional electronic parking brake disengaged. Record the complete indication and fitted brake option. Do not bypass an interlock or force the machine to travel.
  • 0x0201 — Head-lift actuator circuit problem. Record the code and head position already seen. Qualified service must determine the failed component.
  • 0x1006 — Scrub-head imbalance. Record the head type and previous brush work. Follow the matched manual; do not repeatedly reset a returning fault.

Tennant T12 / T12XP — selected entries

Selected meanings agree in North America / International 9009910 and Europe 9009918. This does not make every regional procedure interchangeable.

  • F1: Rcv Tank Full — Recovery tank is full. Record the indication and tank state already known. Use the matched manual for any permitted tank-handling action.
  • F2: Sol Tank Empty — Solution tank is empty. Record the cleaning mode and tank state. Use only the filling instructions for that model and mode.
  • F4: Batt Very Low — Battery charge is low. Record the battery type and indicator. Use its matched charging procedure; this tool does not authorize battery work.
  • F5: Propel Error — Propel controller error. Stop safely and record the full message. Refer a persistent fault to qualified service.
  • F9: Pickup Error — Vacuum is not operating. Record whether another code alternates with this one and the existing water-pickup symptom.
  • F14: ec-H2O Error — ec-H2O system is not operating. Record the full display and fitted cleaning system. Refer persistent faults to qualified service.
