Looking for a Tennant T500 manual or service code? This reference now links the T500 operator manual selected on Tennant’s US product page. Match the control panel and fitted options before interpreting a code; T500e documentation is separate.

What is the Tennant T500?

The Tennant T500 is a commercial indoor walk-behind floor scrubber. Tennant lists multiple head types and cleaning widths for different hard-floor applications. The US product page lists up to 35,200 square feet (3,270 square meters) of estimated productivity, up to 170 lb (77 kg) of main down pressure, and sound levels as low as 66.5 dBA in the published configuration. These are model-range figures, not a promise for every serial-number configuration.

Before ordering parts or following a procedure, record the machine badge, scrub-head type, battery type, control panel and serial number. Keep T500 and T500e records separate when the source does not explicitly cover both.

Which manual is linked for the T500?

T500 Operator Manual 9015223, Rev. 07 (07-2024) is listed under North America – English (United States) on the official product page. Printed and PDF page numbers match in this edition: machine codes 32–33, charger codes 34, optional ec-H2O codes 35, and troubleshooting 53–54.

Record the panel type before looking up a service code

Pro-Membrane uses an LED pattern; Pro-Panel displays an LCD code. Do not convert a pattern from a different model. Record all five positions and the full code, including leading zeros. These selected references are for identification and service reporting.

LCD codeDocumented conditionWhat to record
0xFFF0Emergency stop is activatedWhether it was deliberately used and why; do not restart until the unsafe condition is resolved.
0x0201Head-lift actuator circuit problemExact code and head position already observed; qualified service is required.
0x0501Vacuum motor circuit problemCode plus existing pickup symptom; this does not identify one failed part.
0x0901Propel motor circuit problemWhen movement stopped; refer electrical diagnosis to qualified service.

Where are T500 symptom references?

Poor water pickup or trailing water

The manual lists a full recovery tank or foam, worn or clogged squeegee parts, loose or blocked vacuum hoses, a blocked float shut-off screen, an unsealed recovery-tank lid and damaged seals among possible causes. Safe operator checks are limited to stopping the machine, draining or cleaning accessible components as directed, and documenting the symptom. Electrical or internal repairs should go to trained service personnel.

Machine will not operate, propel or scrub

The troubleshooting table points operators to the service-indicator table, battery charge and cable condition, emergency shut-off reset, circuit-breaker status and visible brush or pad loading. If a fault repeats, the charger, motor, wiring or control-board work requires qualified service. Never bypass an interlock, work on energized wiring or open a battery pack.

Tennant T500 FAQ

Is the T500 the same as the T500e?

No. This page uses T500 manual 9015223. T500e manual 9015506 is a different document; do not transfer panel patterns or procedures between them.

What is the T500 solution-tank capacity?

Tennant’s US product page lists 22.5 US gallons (85 L) for the solution tank and 27 US gallons (102 L) for the recovery tank.

Who prepares this reference?

Prepared by CleanEquip Pro Editorial. We organize manufacturer documentation into model-specific references and distinguish documented information from unverified observations.

This article does not represent an on-machine inspection or a certified technician’s review. Follow the applicable manufacturer manual and refer electrical, battery and other service work to qualified personnel.

Evidence and applicability

Scope and exclusions: This article now uses the T500 manual linked under North America – English (United States) on Tennant’s official T500 product page. T500e has a separate operator manual. Match the actual panel, scrub head, battery and fitted options; an individual serial-number match has not been established.

Field evidence: No first-hand inspection, technician review or measured cause-frequency dataset is documented for this article. The reporting checklist is editorial guidance, not field evidence. A reader report remains unverified until checked.

Operator and service boundary

Operator observations: Identify T500 versus T500e and record all five LED positions without reproducing the fault. Use only the operator instructions matched to the actual machine. Observe only with the machine stopped and secured as its manual requires. Key-off alone does not electrically isolate a battery machine. Before touching or cleaning components, follow the manual’s isolation procedure; if untrained, stop at recording observations.

Stop and call a qualified technician if: The model/manual match is uncertain, a fault returns, or electrical, battery, brake or internal work is needed.

Never: bypass interlocks, remove protective guards for testing, probe live wiring or repeat resets to keep an unresolved fault running. Follow the applicable battery/charger ventilation instructions; this page does not authorize battery work.

Change log

— Added the actual T500 operator manual 9015223, Rev. 07 (07-2024), from Tennant’s US documentation list. Rechecked the code and symptom references against it; earlier T500e-only limitations below describe the previous version. This is a document check, not a technician review.

— CleanEquip Pro Editorial: Made T500e-only fault applicability explicit and replaced incomplete LED descriptions with all five positions. This entry records a document-based editorial update, not an on-machine inspection or certified technician sign-off. Printed page numbers are the document labels; PDF positions may differ. Earlier page-footer dates do not replace the cover revision.

Report a source error or a different observed cause. Include this page URL, model, manual revision and relevant page. Describe what was observed separately from the suspected cause. Names are not credited without permission.

Keep a record or report the outcome

Use the one-page Tennant T500 / T500e observation sheet to record the exact machine, existing indication, symptom and earlier actions before contacting qualified service. It is an original reporting aid, not a repair checklist or manufacturer procedure.

Did this reference help resolve your issue?

Choose an outcome to open the equipment-help form with this article and model filled in. Nothing is submitted until you complete and send the form. Describe what changed, who performed any repair and how the result was checked. A reported outcome is not an independently verified diagnosis or a failure-rate statistic.

For a wrong source or model mismatch, report an editorial correction. See how corrections and contributor credits are handled.
